Business needs to get serious about cyber threat

The news earlier this month that the personal details of up to 2.4 million people may have been stolen when a division of the Carphone Warehouse was hit by a cyber-attack comes as the Scottish Government is seeking views from individuals and organisations on how Scotland can become even more resilient from this form of crime when using online technologies.

This consultation follows the recently published document, ‘A Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland: Safe, Secure and Prosperous online’ with the Scottish Government aiming to develop what it refers to as a ‘cyber resilient Scotland which is safe, secure and prosperous’.
