Security researchers are warning of a new high threat spam campaign using the file-less PowerSniff malware in macro-based attacks.
Palo Alto Networks Josh Grunzweig and Brandon Levene claimed theyd spotted around 1,500 emails sent over the past week in a targeted campaign containing specific information about the victims company including relevant phone numbers, addresses and their names.
This is all designed to socially engineer the recipient into trusting the sender enough to open the attachment.
