Hacker 'Rasputin' Probes Top Unis and Governments for SQLi Bugs

‘Rasputin’ has subsequently targeted over 60 universities and federal, state, and local US government agencies.

A prolific Russian-speaking hacker has been systematically locating and exploiting SQLi vulnerabilities in the websites of prominent universities and US government agencies, to sell unauthorized access to the highest bidder, researchers have warned.

Levi Gundert, vice president of threat intelligence at Recorded Future, claimed in a blog post that the firm first came across the campaign in December.
