ABS Advanced Solutions, a part of the American Bureau of Shipping, has announced a new security solution to help ports in the US meet required levels of cybersecurity.
Incorporating the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cyber Security Framework (NIST CSF), ABS’ suite of services will support port and terminal operators responsible for maintaining Facility Security Plans (FSPs) regulated by the US Coast Guard (USCG).
In 2017, the USCG announced that maritime facilities must address cybersecurity in their FSPs, producing questions from ports about how they should comply with the new demands placed upon them.
